The Truth of The Word - BLOG

Brokenness

A Condition in which something is badly damaged
or Unable to Work Correctly.

The word Brokenness refers to the state of surrender and defeat we experience when hardship comes into our usually steady and painless life.

Sometimes brokenness before God is the result of sin, our own sin, or someone else’s.

And other times it is the result of circumstances.
Beyond our control.

Regardless of the reason, Jesus offers you HOPE! Try HIM. He loves you and wants you to know you are Important, Embraced, Protected and Valued.

Spiritual Freedom

The very mention of the word “brokenness” causes many Christians to shudder inside, though they may nod their heads agreeing that it is something spiritually necessary.

While Scripture makes it clear that this process is essential for optimum spiritual growth, as well as fruitfulness, there remains quite a bit of uncertainty and confusion regarding it. Read on…..

The Blessings of Brokenness

By Tony Evans…
We’ve all seen restored furniture. Restoring furniture involves stripping away old varnish or paint with strong chemicals.

This reveals all the old scratches, gouges, and spots on the piece. The sanding takes place next—the wood is rubbed with coarse sandpaper in order to smooth out its imperfections.

Then the furniture is ready to receive a new stain or paint color. New glory can be given to old furniture, and God can do the same thing with us.  Read on…..

Badly Damaged?

Brokenness can mean a lot of different things to different people. Today we say we are broken if we experience heartbreak, physical illness, depression, divorce, abuse, and any number of other painful experiences of life.

We feel a sense of defeat, a level of pain that makes us feel we cannot go on. A depression that settles in and blocks our happiness. Read On…..

Hurts, Habits & Hangups

From the teaching of Celebrate Recovery.

We all have hurts – whether it’s from experiencing childhood hurt or pain; growing up in a dysfunctional family; dealing with verbal, emotional or sexual abuse; or experiencing trauma from racism and racial injustice.

In turn, hurts can lead to hang-ups, which are beliefs we’ve developed about ourselves or others as a result of our hurts.

Hang-ups could include bitterness, resentment, anger, distrust of others, believing you aren’t good enough or that you won’t measure up, or having recurring negative thoughts. Read More…

Healing and Hope

Jesus has  compassion for you, and he wants to heal your brokenness, but you have to let him.

He will not only heal your brokenness but through his transforming power you can follow his example and walk in obedience to God.

Tired, Broken, Confused, In Pain?

You must submit to change. You must decide that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Jesus is waiting for you to come to him to help and comfort you.

Sin of the World and the sin in our lifes is what causes us all the problems that we experience. God HATES SIN, so much so that he sent his Son to us to save us from it.

It is about a HEART and MIND transformation not a rules and regulations relationship. He wants you to let HIM help you to change and TURN away from the things that keep you from his Joy, Love and Comfort.

Make the Transition From: Brokenness to Wholeness

How do I become part of Jesus’s Family?

  • Actively Seek to know His Word!

Therefore, If Anyone is in CHRIST, The new Creation HAS COME: The old is gone, The New is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus

Galatians 5:1 Freedom in Christ It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Jesus

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:27-29

5 Steps to begin the Journey to Freedom, by learning that you are Important, Embraced, Protected, and Valued by God

You notice we said BEGIN the Journey. We cannot put on one page all the things you need to know, but we can start you on your way. The first thing to know is that the World is setup to keep you in bondage. You are tired of going nowhere, but you are not sure about this Jesus stuff. You have seen movies, seen bad churches, seen people who say they are Christians, yet they seem as evil as everyone else.  So you are turned off. The Enemy has created these things to keep us discouraged and broken, and away from Jesus. Seek him and you will find him. He knocks on the door of your heart and he is waiting on you to open the door.

You may be a Christian already but want to find out why you are not having the relationship with Jesus you know you are missing.

To have true meaningful change in our lives it must begin with Jesus, he came to set us free! But you must make the decision to trust him . These steps start you on that path. But it is not all. You have started a journey and a process. The question is “HOW BAD TO YOU WANT IT ?”

How bad do you want to find a way out of your Hurts, Habits, & Hangups? Beginning to have a peace and joy in your heart that no one can take away.

This is not about religion but RELATIONSHIP! This is what Jesus wants with each of us.

Step 1: Ask for Help

There are so many reasons we can suffer in this life.  Causes could be; Abuse, addictions, low self-esteem, depressions, work, family on and on. All of it is rooted in trauma that we have experienced one way or another in our life. We live in a fallen world surrounded by hurt people who hurt people.

We were born into the world of strife and pain, and it has poured into us. Genesis 1:27 says; God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” This means we were designed to be Important, Embraced, Protected and Valued in His eyes.

We spend our lives seeking these things from the world around us and destruction often follows when we cannot find them,  or life snatches them away from us.

To break our cycles, we must all work through the process of our  pain and thoughts, that create  thoughts and feelings that drive us to make decisions that are not in line with the truth of GOD. They are not in line with what he has for our life. He wants us to know that by being a Christian we have been restored to our original creation in Him!

Jesus died to give us life in the here and now and to give it to us in abundance. We have to learn to accept it.

Even though we have started our relationship with Jesus, we must still do the work of healing. We cannot do that by ourselves. Some may need professional counseling; some need to come alongside a trusted friend or family member. Whatever it is do not think you have to do it by yourself. It is okay to ask for Help. It is okay to want to have someone come along side you.

But remember the greatest blessing is that you really are not doing it alone anymore, The Holy Spirt was sent to be our comforter, teacher,  and helper and He will walk with you through it all.

You are no longer alone; you are part of the Family of Christ.

Step 2: Begin to Heal from your Pain

Start to know in your heart that you are  not what the world says you are. You do not have to life life from the position of a defeated person struggling with the world and its ways of hurt and destruction.

You are a victor walking through the world as a person already victorious in your life. You have the strength to deal with problems, trials, tribulations and sorrows. Because you have help!

The Holy Spirit is with us helping us and guiding us, Jesus walks with us. The enemy is defeated and has no power over us when we walk in the spirit and turn from his temptations. Steps to move us forward;

  1. Choose to have Faith

  2. Choose to spend more time learning the truth of the bible for yourself- it will give you the power to change

  3. Get rid of your stinking thinking, about your past! You are no longer what you used to be

  4. Live in the present- one day at a time

Some of the things the Bible says you can do with Christ. This is not all of them, seek the truth and you will find it.

  • Why should I say I can’t do it when the Bible says I can do all things throught Jesus who gives me strength (Phillippians 4-19)
  • Why should I be afraid when the Bible says God has not given me a spirit of fear, but one of power love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • Why should I feel like a failure when I am a conqueror in all things through Jesus (Romans 8:37)
  • Why would i feel worthless when Jesus became sin for me so that I could become the righteousness of God in Him
  • Why should I feel alone when Jesus said He is with me always and He will never leave me or let me go ( Matthew 28:20 Hebrews 13:5)

Step 3: Be Transformed by the renewing of your Mind

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The Bible says to no longer be as this world is, but to renew our minds. Have you ever asked from WHAT? The answer is our old way of life, our stinking thinking, our sin, or anything that holds us back from all that God is calling us to be. We often struggle to know the will of God but as we renew our mind scripture tells us that is the key to knowing Him,  and thus his will for us.

We were dead in our sin, because of Adam. This was a spiritual death that separated us from God. In Jesus we were born again, spiritually alive to be transformed and restored to God. But we have a war inside us now, our spiritual self wants to be like Jesus but our fleshly self that we were born in wants what the world wants. We battle five major enemies in us and around us;

  • The World – controlled by the devil and created to distract us
  • Our Flesh – which seeks to misdirect us
  • The Devil – the father of lies
  • The Truth and our Emotions – Our emotions sometimes deceive us
  • Forgiveness – unforgiveness keeps us stuck in the past

We are to find out the truth of what the Bible says about each of these areas. It will renew our mind and spirit to know what God says about everything. True joy, confidence, and security comes from understanding what it means to be saved and in Christ in today’s world.

Jesus came to set us free from bondage and slavery to the hurts and pains of this world. He wants you to be free. Galations 5: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Step 4: Find out what Jesus has to say about you!

We cannot go into all of the wonderful things the Bible says about YOU and who you are in Christ on this website. But we encourage you to Learn and Study the Word to come to the Truth. Don’t believe the LIES of the world, find out for yourself!

We were made in the IMAGE of GOD, we are physical and spiritual people. Our spirit man died with Adam and was restored with CHRIST. Therefore the bible says:

  • I am God’s child ( John 1:12)

  • I am Jesus friend (John 15:15)

  • I have beend justified (Romans 5:1)

  • I am united with GOD and I am one spirit with Him ( 1 Corinthians 6:17)

  • I have been bought with a price: I belong to GOD (1 Corinthians 6:19-20

  • I am a member of Jesus’ body (1 Corinthians 12:27)

  • I am a saint, a holy one ( Ephesians 1:1)

  • I have been adopted as God’s Child (Ephesians 1:5)

  • I have direct access to God trough the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18)

  • I am forgiven of all my sins (Colossians 1:14)

  • I am complete in Jesus (Colossians 2:10)
Identity

Step 5: Putting it all together

The teaching of truth on these pages is only a fraction of the wonderful gift that God has given us in his Word.

We have not always been taught the Freedom that Jesus gave us when he died on the Cross. The word warned us that we would be deceived.

2 Peter 2: But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

It is our responsibility to seek TRUTH. Yes he died for our sins but he also died for us to be set free.

He did not promise that we would not go through trials and tribulations, but he did promise to be with us. To teach us joy in the midst of pain, and he promised that he would be with us to give us strength, knowledge, and comfort. He promised to bear our burdens and fight our enemies.

So to put  it all together you must want to have a relationship with Jesus.

You must choose to align yourself with like minded  Christians to help you learn and grow. Attend a Bible teaching church, find  Christians to mentor you, Dedicate your time to study and learning the bible.  Pray and ask for knowledge and wisdom.

You do not have to walk in defeat, sadness, confusion and pain. Our God is not a faraway God, he is waiting for you to come to him to heal and restore you to his kingdom.

The Gospel is the story of God’s love for you. If you are already saved and know him, then build your relationship with him. Come to know Jesus intimately and it will bless you beyond measure.

If you do not know Jesus, then come to him. He waits with open arms. You do not have to be good enough or perfect. He wants you just the way you are. Spots and blemishes and sins all together. Never forget he died for you while you were yet a sinner.

Come to him and he will give you rest.
