Who does God say I am? Changed in His Grace Series #1!

What is Grace?  Grace is the Gospel!

In today’s world not a lot of teaching is going on about the Gift of Grace that God has given us. Because the world centers around the concept of you can “do it” if you try harder, or get stronger, or achieve it through your self will and determination. This leads us to failure, self loathing and defeat when we do not feel like we LIVE up to some standard that we have been give or think of ourselves. We have a hard time understanding that God gave us His gift of grace to save us and set us free from the condemnation and hurts of this world.

SIN! This is another word everyone is scared to talk about. We all sin and we are all sinners. We need a savior to put us back into right standing with God. Spiritually we were separated by the sins of Adam and Eve from our loving relationship we had with our maker and Father.

God in his love for us wanted to bring us back into right standing with him and prepare a place for us. He sent his son Jesus to provide salvation for us and even more so to restore us to the people he originally created before the fall of man through sin.

This is his GRACE gift to us. It is not something we can earn. We are not able to be good enough, strong enough, or religious enough to save ourselves. We just have to believe in the gift of Jesus, and realize that we need a savior to redeem us and then repent or turn from our sinful ways and live the life that he died for us to have.

Even in the repenting we do not have to do it by ourselves,  he has given us a helper that lives within us named the Holy Spirit to give us hope strength, and power to live with God in his Grace.

We have been changed! Look what scripture TRUTH says about who we are in Christ!

  • John 1:12 : Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
  • John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
  • 1 John 5:12 : Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
  • John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:a]”>[a] The old has gone, the new is here!
  • 2 Corinthians 5:21: God made him who had no sin to be sina]”>[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

If you are a Christian you have become a part of the family of God, you no longer belong to the world, you have been separated spiritually, from your past, from the way you saw yourself, from what others say about you. You should look to God for the truth of what he says about you. When you see yourself from his eyes,  your mind and soul are changed by His Love and Grace.

We are reconnected to our father God, we are a new creation, no matter what our past is. Our self worth should come from God not the world.

If you are not a Christian this is open to you too! Accept his gift of Grace. He does not care about your sins or your past. He loves you just as you are. Jesus died on the cross for all of us while we were yet sinners! Pray to the Lord for his Grace and Mercy and you too can receive a new life.
